Micheál heads up the Real Estate and Banking and Finance teams in OFX. He advises on commercial property and banking transactional issues involving a wide range of clients including many of the leading lending institutions, public bodies, developers, companies, charitable organisations as well as multinationals.

Recommended in “The Legal 500” in the Real Estate area, he has developed a particular expertise in property transactions involving healthcare facilities and in the hotel sector; acting in the purchase, sale and development of several high profile primary care centres and in the disposal of a number of hotels for seven figure sums. In addition, he has recently acted for two high profile US multinationals in the acquisition and development of greenfield sites in Cork and environs.

As well as banking advices involving corporate restructuring and property acquisition finance, he specialises in marine finance having represented a leading bank in financing the acquisition of vessels in ports throughout the island.

He also advises a wide range of clients both in the private and public sector in relation to contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
