O’Flynn Exhams Senior Associate, Joan Byrne has been elected President of the Southern Law Association (SLA).

Dating from the 1870s, the SLA is a voluntary association of solicitors, whose members consist of practitioners working in Cork city and county. Its objective is to represent and promote the interests and welfare of its Solicitor members.

At a time when 52% of solicitors in Ireland are female, Joan is only the fourth female President in the Association’s history.

Part of our Commercial Property team, Joan has previously held the offices of both Vice-President and Hon. Secretary of the SLA, as well as Chairperson of its Conveyancing, Probate & Taxation Committee.

For more information about the SLA, visit their website here.
