O’Flynn Exhams support 2025 Fireball Nationals

On 08 – 10 August 2025, Tralee Bay Sailing Club hosted the 2025 Fireball Nationals sponsored by O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors.

The Fireball is a two-person dinghy with a trapeze and spinnaker which has a long history in Ireland with the 1970 Fireball Worlds being held in Tralee Bay Sailing Club.

Despite the heavy forecast, twenty-three boats attended the event with a large contingent of Cork boats and managed to complete six races over two days, with the first day of the event having to be called off due to the strong winds.

One of our trainee solicitors, Rachel Deasy, competed in the event with her crew Daithí Murphy, marking their first outing in the fleet.

The event was topped off by a BBQ and prize giving with prizes presented by John Lovett from Cleveland who had competed in the 1970 Fireball Worlds.

The event marked the last preparatory event before ten of the Irish boats headed to Lake Garda for the Fireball Worlds 2025.
